Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Eating - There Are Benefits to Eating Home Cooked Meals

Are you overweight? Do you have a parent or sibling with Type 2 diabetes? Do you have high blood pressure? If you answered yes to one of these questions, you might be at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Eating wisely is one of your most potent weapons in the fight against diabetes. If you had to come up with a list of habits to enhance your life, what would you include? You might list activities you can do from day-to-day such as exercising, reading, meditating or writing. It could even add unconventional habits so to speak, like taking the time to reflect and practice gratefulness. Your list will be unique to you. The items at the top, however, should all be health-related, because there is nothing more essential than taking care of your body. Taking care of your health helps ensure all other aspects of your life are also taken care of. It is difficult to argue which of these habits would be the most essential but healthy cooking is without a doubt in the top three. It is not necessarily synonymous with healthy eating, but it is uncommon to find people who regularly cook their meals to be unhealthy. Most people who prepare their meals care about their health; at least they are more concerned about their health and weight than many. Home cooked meals are always an improvement over what you can buy to microwave or heat up in the oven. What this means is if healthy eating is crucial - so is cooking. If you are not preparing and cooking your meals regularly - why not? Be careful not to make any excuses. Lack of time is not a reasonable justification as there are ways around it. For instance, you can cook more substantial portions and designate two or three days each week as your cooking nights. Or with careful planning, you could prepare and cook your meals for the entire week on one evening. In short, it doesn't matter how you do it: just do it. Cooking your meals is an essential habit. It enables you to enjoy your food more because you are inclined to appreciate what you prepare. The right overall balance of foods and especially the amount of food can give substantial protection against weight gain and Type 2 diabetes. Get excited about cooking. If it helps, purchase a cooking book or borrow one from your local library for some inspiration. Consider how there is so much to cooking you haven't yet discovered. It is possible to eat tasty, healthy meals that will satisfy you and make a difference in your well-being. What could be better than this? Cooking your own meals is the best way to do it. Once it is an ingrained habit in your life, it will always be with you. You will likely find you should have started sooner. Better late than never. Type 2 diabetes is not a condition you must just live with. By making easy changes to your daily routine, it's possible to protect your heart, kidneys, eyes, and limbs from the damage often caused by diabetes, and eliminate some of the complications you may already experience. The More Weight, The Bigger the Risk for Cancer

There has always been this idea, although, the extra weight we carry we are still healthy and fit: Not according to some of the latest research. This is nothing new to most that weight becomes obesity which affects a sizable percentage of people around the globe or at least more so in the western world. Many who carry that extra weight are not aware of the many health consequences it can have. Too many still ignore the many real health risk associated with extra body weight. Not knowing can kill you. If you lower the weight you lower that pressure. Weight can cause high blood pressure in many ways. When weight gain occurs, the heart must work harder because the weight has a compressive effect on the arteries or blood vessels. This does happen as we get older but being above that extra weight will speed up this process even more. Increase of Cancer. According to cancer research; suggests excess body weight is responsible to a relative strong cancer increase. Research over the last 3 years, (2014,15,16) have found forty percent of different cancers identified to obesity, this percentage is even higher on obese woman. Obesity - related cancer is still on the increase according to reports. There are as many as 13 distinct types of cancers related to overweight and obesity. Observation studies have found that as low or little as 5 KG (11 Pound) increase of weight is enough to increase that cancer risk. Any awareness of cancer being associated with overweight was not known and hasn't been the focus of any research until some years ago. Although, it been common knowledge for a long time that overweight people more likely to die younger from diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and cancer. Reduce Weight. Without using that old outdated system and counting calories, just cut down on carbs. Carbohydrate restrictions in your diet is the first step to take reducing weight. In one of my recent articles (WEIGHT LOSS PRACTICES WITH A DIFFERENCE) where I outlined a low carb diet. Reducing the intake of carbohydrates is the quickest and most rewarding way to bring that weight down. Reducing carbs is showing fast results which will encourage, build your - self-confidence while systematically knocking down your weight. Lose weight and live longer. Every kilogram of weight you put on could cut your life expectancy by two months, according to studies. There is no need to starve in getting that weight down. Reduce carbs and sugary foods will do that. Weight gain is 99.9 percent food related, most people eat too much, all day long and the wrong food with low nutritional value. Some Facts About Fats. The fat issue is confusing for many, because many dietary guidelines are still pointing in the wrong directions. Tran's fats and sugars are the main contributors to clogged arteries and health issues in general. Oxidized fats which are trans fats are found in processed foods in large amounts. Trans fats are not found in animal or vegetables. Eating saturated animal fats and protein does not make you fat, carbohydrates and processed foods do. By increasing the amount of healthy fat and at the same time decreasing net carbs is what makes your body burn fat. This is when your body is using fat as fuel and burning excessive fat at the same time. Our body needs saturated fats to work properly, opposed to Tran's fatty acids found in highly processed foods are best be avoided. Misguided information over the years gave fat the "bad rep" but essential fatty acids are especially important for our overall health. Yet many so - called experts labelled any fat as bad fat. By cutting back on carbohydrates also can drop the chances of breast cancer recurrence in woman. The general lesson is that if you lose weight and cut back on sugar and refined carbohydrates while increasing your exercise, the risk of cancer drops. We must realize, cancer comes from our own doing, by us, it is man - made, because there is nothing in our natural environment that can cause it. My name is Josef Bichler. Understanding the Mechanisms of Breast Cancer

Understanding the Mechanisms of Breast Cancer What Is Breast Cancer? Breast cancer is a malignancy of the breast tissues that is usually identified as a small extra mass or lump in the breast in the beginning. If left undetected for some time, it can spread to other parts of the body including the surrounding lymph nodes. Most of the cancer of breasts occur in women, but men can get it too in some cases. What Causes Breast Cancer and How Does it Spread? A lot of research has been done to understand the mechanisms and pathogenesis of breast cancer. It is, however, difficult to predict who will develop it as scientists do not still know the exact causes of breast cancer fully. There are, however, several risk factors that may put a person at higher risk than others. These include a personal history of breast cancer, family history, age, gender, previous radiation therapy, hormone therapies, and excessive alcohol drinking. A recent study published in 'Cancer Cell International' Journal found that pepsinogen C (PGC) that belongs to aspartic protease family and is secreted by gastric chief cells is linked to cancer development. Another report published in BMC suggests that penetration of the mammary gland basement membrane by cancer cells is an important step in the progression of the tumor from the mammary glands to other surrounding tissues. These findings also indicate that peptidylarginine deiminase 2 (PAD2) plays a crucial role in cancer cell transfer and movement. A research on a mouse model of ductal carcinoma in situ shows that inhibition of peptidylarginine deiminase 2 activity can maintain basement membrane integrity in xenograft tumors. PAD2 depletion or inhibition can suppress cell migration and alter the morphology of cells and can serve as a potential treatment option in future. How to Prevent Breast Cancer? We can little do to prevent cancer since we do not know the exact cause. However, in view of the recent findings and the knowledge of probable causes of the cancer, researchers have come up with a list of things that can benefit toward a cancer-free life. Pomegranate is a nutrient-rich unique fruit that has been used for centuries for the prevention and treatment of various inflammation-driven diseases. This has been proved through certain studies published in reputed journals of nutrition. A few studies suggest an inverse relationship between vitamin D levels and breast density. As breast density is considered a risk factor for breast cancer, monitoring your vitamin D levels can offer a starting point as a prevention strategy. Some studies reinforce the assumption that higher levels of 25(OH)D pre-menopause and vitamin D are associated with lower breast density. Screening is an established approach to keep a track of what is going on in your body. Doctors recommend a regular screening after every three years after the age of 40. If you are a higher-risk individual, it may be recommended to start the screening even earlier and more often. Keeping your weight under control, nutritious diet intake, and limiting alcohol consumption are other elements of your cancer prevention strategy. Why woman moan during sex?

ⓘ Optimized just nowView original https://www.consumerhealthdigest.com/female-sexual-health/frequently-asked-questions/why-women-moan-during-sex.html Skip to content dsdsd Why Women Moan During Sex? Editor's Note: This article has been recently updated with latest information and research studies. Q: Why do women moan loudly during sex and scream when they are orgasming? Does it happen due to pain or pleasure? Expert Answer Whether you are watching a movie or reading a book, every scene with a sexual encounter has the woman making noise during her orgasm. It has become so common, that these vocal noises are now expected during intercourse. It also seems that many men are under the impression that “louder is better”. Now we are beginning to wonder whether these noises are a natural part of the female orgasm process, or do women believe that they are supposed to make them? Researchers Gayle Brewer, of the University of Central Lancashire and Colin Hendrie, of the University of Leeds, conducted a clinical study on female copulatory vocalization. Their recently published paper, has helped explain why women moan during sex. Explaining the Noises There has not been an extensive study on why women moan during sex, but the latest research study suggests that it may not be caused as a result of an orgasm. The study consisted of 71 healthy and sexually active women, who agreed to answer a series of questions concerning the type and amount of noise they made during sex. These women, who ranged in ages from 18-48, all agreed that there were other reasons for them making those moaning noises during sex. In fact, 66% of the women admitted to using vocal noises to help their partner reach a climax, while 87% did it to help their partner’s self-esteem. One of the main reasons that these noises do not occur during a female orgasm, is that most women climax during foreplay. It is more difficult for a woman to have a vaginal orgasm, than it is for her to have one through clitoral stimulation. In fact, most women reported that they had already climax before they began making noises for their partners. Thanks, in part to mainstream media, the majority of men and women feel that these copulatory vocalizations are normal and necessary part of intercourse. It is Not Just Humans Moaning During Intercourse It is not just humans who loudly proclaim their pleasure during sex, researchers in the wild have discovered the same copulatory vocalization with female baboons and macaque monkeys. The female baboons tend to use more complex and varied noises the closer they are to ovulation and how high ranking their mate it in the pack. Female macaques however, tend to use their vocalizations to help their partners orgasm. What both female humans and primates have in common is that neither actually makes these vocalizations during their orgasm. Moaning is not faking an Orgasm Sexual therapists do warn against using copulatory moaning as a way of faking an orgasm. Instead, it should be used in a way that signals your partner that you are enjoying his attention. During the research study, some women also admitted to using these noises as a way to relieve boredom, pain, or tiredness during intercourse. If this is happening in your relationship, it would be advisable to be honest with your partner and discuss any issues. Many women are discovering that uttering small noises can help improve* their sexual experience. It can be used to show excitement and pleasure, and show your partner what you really enjoy. As more and more women are becoming comfortable taking charge in the bedroom, these sexual noises are also being used to teach their partners without having to use words. Using Copulatory Vocalization in the Bedroom For some women, making noises in the bedroom is simply a turn on as much for them, as it is for their partners. These vocalizations can also help a woman to not only reach an orgasm, but to extend its length as well. Unlike men, a woman will go through four different stages of sexual arousal and desire before she has an orgasm, and sometimes these noises can help her move through these stages. Just like men enjoy hearing their partners moan in sexual bliss, women it enjoy hearing men moan in pleasure as well. While many women understand that a man’s self-confidence is raised by her vocal confirmation, her self-confidence will also experience a boost*. While the recent study may suggest that women do not necessarily moan because of a vaginal orgasm, it also does not mean that they are faking their enjoyment. Moaning is a normal and natural part of sexual intercourse, and it can greatly enhance* your sex life. It can show pleasure, and boost* self confidence levels. These copulatory vocal noises, can also push partners into climatic orgasms. Sexual intercourse is part of a healthy lifestyle, and so are the many moans that go with it.
